Here is How To Style Scarf Tops
Fashion trends from the early 2000s were questionable; it was one of the least impressive phases in fashion. Unlike the ’80s and ‘90s, not a lot of the trends are welcomed back. But one such trend from the early millennium that has sneaked upon us is the scarf top trend.
The large piece of fabric that was stylishly tied around the upper torso by pop sensations like Christina Aguilera and Beyoncé were all the rage back then, and supermodels like Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner are convincingly bringing it back.
The repackaging of it may be different, but the silhouette has comfortably found its position on the current street-style bandwagon. In the early 2000s, celebrities styled it with claw clips, crystal tattoos, tiny handbags, kitten heels and sticky shimmering lip gloss, going all OTT. In 2020, it has been revamped by the younger millennial lot of models and influencers who are styling the large handkerchief with chunky sneakers, boyfriend jeans, high-waisted skirts/shorts and latest sunglasses.
If you want to add a little risqué fun to your regular everyday style, the scarf top trend will be the perfect bold move you can experiment with. Here are all our favourite scarf top looks, starting with Queen-B herself, who practically coined this trend.
